Appendix E

RAID Installation

SA DVR series supports external RAID that can expend recording storage capacity. To install RAID,
following the below steps.

1. Insert the hard disk into the RAID HDD drawer 2. Screw the hard disk

3. Slide the drawer back to RAID unit

4. Do Not slide the drawer all the way into RAID

unit yet

5. Adjust the switch to the right position(Please

refer to the switch direction below the switch)

6. Plug one side of e-SATA cable to RAID unit and

another side to DVR unit
