Use the following procedure to determine the minimum number of power supplies to install for
the Ethernet Routing Switch 8300 system:

Procedure steps
1. Add the total (3.3 V and 12 V) input power consumption (wattage) for all components
(modules and fan trays or cooling modules).
2. Refer to the output power rating of the 8005DI DC power supply based on the input
connection.
If either the individual or the combined power requirements for the components
exceed the power supply rating, you need to add at least another power supply to
