INSTALLING MARATHON
GENERALVIEW Fig. 1.
FITTINGTHE RACK
Fit the rack [Fig. 2] to the door by welding, using a 30 x 20 spacer tube [Fig. 2 (A)] or by bolting using the rack
spacers available [Fig. 2 (B)] (optional) so the rack is separated from the door and is 3 mm above the separator
and 173 mm above the level at which the drive unit is installed. To ensure continuity of the rack teeth at the
junction of two sections, it is recommended that a piece of rack is offered to it upside-down to serve as a guide.
INSTALLINGTHE DRIVE UNIT
CONNECTIONS (Fig. 7)
With the key provided, open the lock and pull out the release lever [Fig 4 (1)]. Then remove the cover [Fig 4 (2)]
upwards. Remove the screw [Fig 4 (3)] and the bracket [Fig 4 (4)]. As shown in Fig (3) drill the holes and secure the
drive unit bracket by screws or special plugs. Once the bracket is fixed [Fig 4 (4)] the drive unit is positioned by
passing the rack fixed to the door between the pinion [Fig 5 (3)] and the wheel [Fig. 5 (4)]. Thus, the drive unit
rests on the rack and, by tilting on the support, it absorbs all irregularities of the moving door. The maximum
working tilt-angle of the drive unit is b 8 and - 4. The drive unit is now secured by means of pin (R),
leaving it in the unlocked position without the cover.
The electric motor connections are made, as well as the supplementary photocells, safety margins and other
items as indicated in the instructions supplied with Master Pro III electrical equipment. Using the terminal strip,
the correct motor power is selected, either 420V - III or 230v-III SAFETY REGULATIONS: All power cables must
come from an RCD.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
IMPORTANT:
The wiring of permanently
connected equipment must be
fitted with an easily accessible
disconnect device.
