3.3. Check Basic Settings
Check and, if necessary, change the factory settings of your device. At least, check the settings for
•
language
•
unit
•
date and time
•
configuration of the
Q
button
•
power save options
These settings can be found in the „System“ menu. The measurement settings can be found in the menu
„Jobs“, „Limits“ and „Adjustment“.
3.4 Adjustment (Zeroing)
The gauge needs to be adjusted before initially using it, after replacing the battery or for different
measurement jobs. Either use our reference plates or, ideally, a piece of uncoated material being tested.
Starting the adjustment

Press the Q-Button. On delivery the Q-Button is programmed to „Start adjustment“.
In case this button has been given another function (9500P bzw. 9500P+) go to the
menu „adjustment“ and press „start“. The adjustment starts by pressing the „ok“-Button.
•
Place the gauge on the material to be tested or either on a reference plate.
Carry out the required measurements and press „ok“.
•
A question follows whether the other sensor part shall be adjusted, too.
If yes, please repeat the procedure described above.
•
„OK“ confirms the adjustment finally.
•
Control: please place the gauge on the material once again.
The display shows either 0,0 or a very low measurement result.
•
In case the adjustment is started accidentally, the function can be quitted by pressing „ok“ or
the power-button.
