About Skype

Skype
t
is a software which allows you to have telephone conversations with
other Skype
t
users via Internet free of charge.
5.2.1 Downloading and installing the Skype
t
software
Download the current Skype
t
software version from the Internet
(www.skype.com). Install the software on your PC. Complete the fields in the
dialogue boxes and follow the instructions on registration.
Note:
Refer to the instructions in the Internet for further, more detailed
information on the Skype
t
software and functions at www.skype.com. It also
explains whether, and how, calls can be made and received in the dedicated
and/or mobile telecommunications network.
5.2.2 Activating the magnetic hook contact, piezoelectric sound
generator and other functions
Install the CD enclosed with the equipment supplied in order to activate the
magnetic hook contact, internal piezoelectric sound generator and other
functions provided by the IP-7 telephone.
Note:
It is essential that any Voice over IP drivers already installed on the PC
are deinstalled.
Insert the CD in the drive. The application starts automatically.
Note:
If the application does not start automatically, navigate to the CD drive
and double-click on the Setup file.
Follow the instructions which appear on the screen until the installation is
completed. Initiate a new start in order that the modifications take effect.
The next time Skype
t
is started, the
Enable Application
dialogue box opens
(refer to diagram on the next page).

To prevent the dialogue box appearing again and automatically
ensure the program always accesses Skype
t
, select the first
option.
