OPERATION
3.1
THE DISPLAY SYMBOLS
The display shows all important functions using different symbols.
Symbol on: the connection to the base station is broken and you cannot hear a signal tone. No
calls can be made.
Lit: A call is being made.
Flashing: A call is coming in and the connection to the base station is being established.
Flashing: The batteries are flat. Please charge the handset.
Lit: The handset is being charged on the base station.
Flashing: The connection to the base station is being established.
Lit: The handset is in a programming mode.
Flashing: the handset microphone has been muted.
In order to preserve battery power and thus extend the stand-by time, no indication appears in the display
when the handset is off the hook.
3.2
RECEIVING CALLS
When a call comes in, the call tone sounds on the handset. The display flashes
. Lift the handset from
the base station or press the call button
. The base station call display flashes during the call. To
terminate the call, replace the handset on the base station or press the call button
on the handset.
In order to hear incoming calls loudly and clearly, put down the handset with the display downwards. If you
only want to receive incoming calls with a soft call tone, put down the handset with the display uppermost.
3.3
MAKING CALLS
1.
Enter the required telephone number with a maximum of 24 digits using the keypad. The keys pressed
will be shown in the display. As the display can only show 12 digits, with longer telephone numbers only
the last 12 digits are shown.
Note:
If you have entered a wrong number, you can delete the telephone number by repeatedly
pressing the key
.

Press the call button
and the required connection will be made.
Note:
You can also get a dialling tone by first pressing the call button. On entering the digits of your
required telephone number, your AUDIOLINE CDL971G dials the number directly. With this method
of making a call, it is not possible to correct individual digits in the manner described above.
