Overview
Madrigal has released software v1.02 for the Audioaccess PX-603. This new software corrects erratic
behavior of a PX-603 room after receiving a STATUS REQUEST command from the PX-700 or
outboard RS-232 control system.
This condition does not occur in PX-600/PX-603 or PX-700/PX-603 during normal KPS / KP3
operation.

New Software The software in the PX-603 is contained on a pre-programmed EPROM available from
Audioaccess Technical Support. Please have part number and serial number available when
ordering.

Solution
This condition has been corrected in v1.02.
This condition will only occur under certain system setup parameters. Systems meeting the
following parameters should have the PX-603 software upgraded.
System
Parameters
o
PX-600 or PX-700 systems controlled by an external RS-232 control device.
o
PX-700 systems where the PX-603 is connected to the PX-700 during PX-700 programming.
This condition can be avoided in PX-700 / PX-603 systems with older software if the PX-603
is not connected to the PX-700 during Programming as described in Tech Bulletin #
