– Hook the claw fastener -10- under the roof rail -arrow-.
– Tighten tensioning bolt -13- slightly using torque wrench
-11-. While doing this, make sure that the claw fastener -10-
remains hooked under the roof rail -arrow-.
– Perform the identical procedure on the other side of the vehi-
cle.
WARNING
The rubber supports -7- for the lower support bracket
must sit flush against the roof rail on both sides of the
vehicle — risk of accident from the carrier unit coming
loose.
The carrier unit is seated in the correct position if:

The rubber supports -7- for the lower support bracket sit
flush against the roof rail -arrows-.
◆
The pins in the pin links -5- engage in the holes -a- in the
roof rail.
◆
The claw fastener -10- is hooked under the roof rail.
The carrier unit is positioned too far out if:
◆
The rubber supports -7- for the lower support bracket do not
sit flush against the roof rail -arrow-.
◆
The pins in the pin links -5- do not correctly engage in the
holes -a- in the roof rail.
◆
The claw fastener -10- does not hook under the roof rail.
The carrier unit is positioned too far in if:
◆
The rubber supports -7- for the lower support bracket do not
sit flush against the roof rail -arrow-.
◆
The pins in the pin links -5- do not correctly engage in the
holes -a- in the roof rail.
◆
The claw fastener -10- does not hook under the roof rail.
If the rubber supports for the lower support bracket -7- do
not sit flush against the surface, we recommend that you
have the width adjustment checked, and corrected if neces-
sary, by a qualified workshop
