ENGINE HOOD

101

To unlock engine hood, pull the

release lever on left under dashboard.
Hood springs up slightly under spring
pressure.

In front of vehicle, open hood by

depressing the safety catch under hood
to the side (arrow) to disengage the
catch.

Raise hood by hand.

A fully raised engine hood is held

open under spring pressure.

To close, pull hood down past the

spring pressure point, then let the hood
drop into the locks.

Try to pull hood up to check whether

it is securely latched.

WARNING
Should you notice at any time while
driving that the hood is not secured
properly, stop at once and close it.
