TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
PROBLEM CAUSE CORRECTION MEASURE
Unit will not initially come on Electrical connection. Check line voltages 110-120V AC.
Failure to meter safe initially or Air obstruction. Vertical mounting of the U.V..
during operation.
O-Ring obstruction. Do not overtighten sight port
nut- hand tighten only.
Quartz disc obstruction Dry seal between disc
or impairment. and probe.
Physical obstruction between
quartz and probe.
Dirt or stain build-up on lens.
Clean with denatured alcohol.
Bulb temperature too high. Run water to nearest drain
> 140° F. through U.V. to allow the unit
to reach optimum temperature
for the U.V. bulb (104° F.).
Ballast temperature Check ballast temperature.
too extreme. If greater than 160°F,
replace ballast.
Impaired quartz sleeve. Clean and/or replace.
U.V. bulb output too low. Replace. You will not be able to
measure this output.
