Atrion NeedleVISE® Large-Bore Sharps Securing Device
Description:
The Atrion NeedleVISE® Large-Bore Sharps Securing Device is a single needle, single patient
procedure use, disposable device used for securing contaminated needles. The NeedleVISE®
Large-Bore Sharps Securing Device has an internal one-way metal clip for retaining the used 8-27
Gauge (Ga) sharp.
Indications:
The NeedleVISE® Large-Bore Sharps Securing Device is intended for use in various clinical
procedures as a sharps securing device for contaminated needles when an integral sharps safety
system is not available.
Directions for Use:

Place the NeedleVISE® Large-Bore Sharps Securing
Device on a flat stable surface. (Figure 1).

Immediately following use of a needle and while still
holding it with one hand away from the sharp end, firmly
insert the sharp pointed tip straight down into the opening
in the NeedleVISE® Large-Bore Sharps Securing Device
until it stops, making sure to
KEEP YOUR FREE HAND
AWAY FROM THE SHARPS SECURING DEVICE
DURING INSERTION
. This action will lock the needle
firmly into the sharps securing device. (Figure 2).

3.
Dispose of used NeedleVISE® Large-Bore Sharps
Securing Device with secured sharps in an approved
sharps container. (Figure 3).
Precautions:
For single patient procedure use only.
For single needle use only.
Never grasp the needle at the sharp end.
Do not hold NeedleVISE® Sharps Securing Device with free hand while inserting a needle.
Always use one-handed technique when inserting sharps into NeedleVISE® Large-Bore
Sharps Securing Device.
Do not attempt to remove sharps once secured in NeedleVISE® Large-Bore Sharps
Securing Device.
According to OSHA regulations contaminated needles or other contaminated sharps shall
not be bent, recapped or removed unless the employer can demonstrate that no
alternative is feasible or such action is required by a specific medical or dental procedure.
Dispose in a sharps container immediately after the clinical procedure is completed
Caution:
Federal (U.S.A.) law restricts this device to sale by or on the order of a physician

Descripción:
El dispositivo de protección contra objetos punzantes de gran calibre NeedleVISE® de Atrion es un
dispositivo desechable para una sola aguja y un solo procedimiento-paciente, cuya función es
guardar de forma segura las agujas contaminadas. Este dispositivo tiene un clip metálico interno
unidireccional que retiene el objeto punzante usado de calibre 8 a 27.
Indicaciones:
El dispositivo de protección contra objetos punzantes de gran calibre NeedleVISE® está concebido
para usar en diversos procedimientos clínicos para guardar agujas contaminadas de forma segura
cuando no se dispone de un sistema integral para desechar estos objetos.
Instrucciones de uso:

Coloque el dispositivo de protección contra objetos
punzantes de gran calibre NeedleVISE® sobre una
superficie plana (Figura 1)

Inmediatamente después del uso de una aguja, y cuando
aún la tenga sujetada con la mano alejada de la punta
punzante, inserte dicha punta de forma recta en el orificio
del dispositivo de protección contra objetos punzantes de
gran calibre NeedleVISE® hasta que se detenga,
asegurándose de
MANTENER LA MANO LIBRE
ALEJADA DEL DISPOSITIVO DE PROTECCIÓN
CONTRA OBJETOS PUNZANTES DURANTE LA
INSERCIÓN.
Esto trabará la aguja firmemente en el
dispositivo de protección contra objetos punzantes (Figura 2).

Deseche los dispositivos de protección contra objetos
punzantes de gran calibre NeedleVISE® con dichos objetos
insertados en un recipiente para objetos punzantes aprobado
(Figura 3).
Precauciones:
Se debe usar en un solo paciente.
Se debe usar con una sola aguja.
Nunca agarre la aguja por la punta punzante.
No sujete el dispositivo de proteccción contra objetos punzantes NeedleVISE® con la
mano que le queda libre mientras inserta la aguja.
Siempre use una sola mano al insertar objetos punzantes en el dispositivo NeedleVISE®.
No intente extraer los objetos punzantes que ya están insertados en el dispositivo
NeedleVISE®.
De acuerdo con las regulaciones de OSHA, las agujas u otros objetos punzantes
contaminados no deben doblarse, taparse ni extraerse salvo que el empleador pueda
demostrar que no hay otra alternativa viable o que así lo requiere un procedimiento
médico o dental específico.
Una vez terminado el procedimiento clínico, deseche el dispositivo inmediatamente en un
recipiente para objetos punzantes.
Precaución:
Las leyes federales de los EE. UU. restringen la venta de este dispositivo por un
médico o bajo la orden de un médico.
Para usar euna sola vez. No intente reutilizarlo.

Description:
Le dispositif de sécurité NeedleVISE® Atrion pour objets tranchants de grand calibre est un
dispositif jetable à usage unique (une seule aiguille, un seul patient) utilisé pour sécuriser des
aiguilles contaminées. Le dispositif de sécurité à grande ouverture NeedleVISE® pour objets
tranchants contient une pince interne métallique à sens unique qui retient l’objet tranchant usagé de
calibre 8 à 27.
Indications:
Le dispositif de sécurité à grande ouverture NeedleVISE® pour objets tranchants est conçu pour
être utilisé lors de diverses interventions cliniques comme support de sécurité pour les aiguilles
contaminées lorsqu’aucun système de sécurité intégré pour objets tranchants n’est disponible.

NeedleVISE® pour objets tranchants sur une surface
horizontale stable. (Figure 1).

Immédiatement après avoir utilisé une aiguille et alors
que vous la tenez encore d’une main loin de l’extrémité
pointue, poussez fermement l’extrémité pointue
verticalement dans l’ouverture du dispositif de sécurité à
grande ouverture NeedleVISE® pour objets tranchants,
jusqu’à ce qu’elle se bloque, en faisant bien attention de

. Cette action

3.
Jetez le dispositif de sécurité à grande ouverture
NeedleVISE® pour objets tranchants utilisé, avec
l’aiguille bloquée, dans un conteneur pour objets
tranchants agréé (Figure 3).
