Mirror Port 

In  order  to  help  the  network  administrator  keeps  track  of  network  activities,  the  managed  switch 

supports port mirroring, which allows incoming and/or outgoing traffic to be monitored by a single port 

that is defined as a 

mirror port, 

(Figure 2.19).
