Fault correction
Fault
Possible cause
Rectification
The water level in the primary
settling stage is unusually high,
whereby there is a normal
water level in the activated
sludge stage.
•
The charging pipeline is
leaking and draws in air.
•
Check the threaded
connection for tightness. If
a hose is available as
charging pipeline the hose
fixture and the hose should
be checked for tightness.
•
The charging line is
blocked.
•
The passage of water can
be checked though manual
operation of the surplus
sludge pump.
•
The submersible motor
pump is defective.
•
Call Service support.
•
There is air in the impeller
chamber. This condition can
be detected by a gurgling
noise. Removal of air from
this chamber is enabled
through a small drilling in
the lower third of the pump
casing.
•
Remove AQUAmax and
check the drilling, if
necessary clean.
The water level in the primary
settling stage and in the
activated sludge stage is
unusually high. The control
system indicates “Flooding
Alarm”.
•
Unusually high infiltration
inflow. With heavy rainfall
due to surface water or
sodden earth through
leaking concrete tanks.
•
Infiltration water may not get
into wastewater treatment
plants over a long period. If
necessary seal the concrete
tank or remove other
causes.
•
The submersible motor
pump is blocked or
defective.
•
Check the pump through
manual operation; if
necessary call service
support.
•
There is backflow at the
inflow point. The water
conveyed by the pump flows
back again.
•
The inlet point must be
again freed.
The water level in the activated
sludge stage is unusually high.
The control system indicates
“Economic operation”.
•
The float switch cannot rise
as it is limited in its
movement.
•
Check the float switch (see
manual mode).
•
The float switch is defective
or the cable lead is broken.
•
Call
service
support.
The water levels of the primary
settling stage and the aeration
are always the same although
water flows into the primary
settling stage.
•
The partition wall between
aeration and primary settling
stages is leaking.
•
Close the separation wall
slits and, if necessary reseal
the joints.
•
The hydraulic system in the
AQUAmax for the
interruption of the charging
pipeline is impaired.
•
Call
service
support.
