Caller ID operation
Save a call history entry to the directory
When in the call history, press or to browse the desired number
to save.
Press

, then press or to choose
Copy to DIR

. Use the dialing keys to edit the name.

to delete a character.
Press and hold
DELETE
to delete all characters.

You can include a pause while storing a dialing sequence that requires
one during actual dialing. Press or to choose

Store a signal for switching to temporary tone signalling.
If you
have dial pulse (rotary) service, this signal is required for some special
services. Press or to choose
Add Tone

appears on the screen. All numbers you enter after this will send
touch-tone signals during dialing.
You can store the flash signal required by some special services as part of a
dialing sequence. Press or to choose
Add Flash

as usual.

NOTE
: You will need to change how a caller ID number is dialed if the entry does not
appear in the correct format. Caller ID numbers might appear with an area code that might
not be necessary for local calls, or without a 1 that might be necessary for long distance
calls (see
View dialing options
on the previous page for more information).
