Telephone operation

Options while on calls

Mute

Use this feature during a telephone conversation to silence the microphone.
You can hear the caller, but the caller cannot hear you.

To mute a call:

Press

MUTE

. When mute is on, the

MUTE

light flashes; the screen also

displays

MUTE

To take a call off mute:

Press

MUTE

again and resume speaking.

NOTE:

Transferring the call, changing lines or putting a call on hold also cancels the

mute function.

Temporary tone dialing

If you have dial pulse (rotary) service only, use this feature to temporarily
switch dial pulse to touch-tone dialing during a call by pressing

TONE

During a call:

Press

TONE

Use the dialing keys to enter the relevant number. The telephone sends
touch-tone signals.

The telephone automatically returns to pulse dialing mode after you end
the call.
