NOTE: Mode switch configurations and mode signal voltage levels on all of the different transceivers is
beyond the scope of this manual. Some transceivers use low level logic to switch modes and care should
be taken when using the mode signal from the transceiver, as it might not be able to provide sufficient
current to activate a relay, and by putting a load such as a relay might damage the transceiver’s mode
switching circuit. In such case, it is recommended to always employ a transistor switch to amplify the
signal to drive the relay’s coil as seen on Fig 23.

Note: The onboard trimmer variable resistors for the Modulation Level VR2, Carrier Level VR3 and
Asymmetry Control VR4, increase in the counterclockwise direction and decrease in the clockwise
direction. You may mount external potentiometers in the above configuration to increase the VR2, VR3
& VR4 levels in the clockwise direction.
