6. Install DirectX5

Microsoft DirectX5 allows 3D hardware acceleration support in Windows 95. For
Software MPEG support in Windows 95, you must first install the Microsoft DirectX
5 libraries, then you may install the MPEG Video Player.

Reinsert the ASUS AGP-V1326 installa-
tion CD or double-click the CD drive icon
in My Computer to bring up the autorun
screen. The ASUS AGP-V1326 Install
Shell will appear. If it does not appear, run
D:\setup.exe. You will be presented with a
list of install options.

Click Install DirectX5.

Click Direct 3D Hardware Acceleration
Enabled and then click Reinstall DirectX.

If your system already has DirectX5 in-
stalled, the screen will show “Certified”
next to each component. You may click
either the Ok or Cancel button to cancel
the installation.

After reinstalling DirectX5, you will be
prompted to restart your machine. Click
OK.
