WARNING: Do not allow any com-
bustible materials to overlap the fi rebox
front facing.
WARNING: Do not allow noncombus-
tible materials to cover any necessary
openings like louvered slots.
WARNING: Use only noncombustible
mortar or adhesives when overlapping
the front facing with noncombustible
facing material.
IMPORTANT:
When fi nishing your fi rebox, com-
bustible materials such as wall board, gypsum
board, sheet rock, drywall, plywood, etc. may be
butted up next to the sides and top of the fi rebox.
Combustible materials should never overlap the
fi rebox front facing.
IMPORTANT:
Noncombustible materials such as
brick, tile, etc. may overlap the front facing, but
should never cover any necessary openings like
louvered slots or screen assembly.
7. Check all gas connections for leaks. See

8. Plug electrical cord into electrical outlet.
9. Install trim after fi nal fi nishing and/or painting
of wall
(see
Figure 7, Page 10
).
Minimum clearance requirements include any
projections such as shelves, window sills, fi replace
mantels, etc. above the appliance.
