Do not turn when traveling across slopes of more
than 10° (Figure 88).

Turning while on a slope may cause the machine to
slide or roll over. Take the machine to level ground
before turning.

Machine Orientation and Direction for
Travel

Before attempting to operate the tracks, know which
side of the machine is front, back, right, and left.

WARNING

Crushing hazard.

Before attempting to operate the tracks, verify
orientation of the machine and direction of
machine movement before moving the machine.

Using the wrong direction on the remote trans-
mitter may result in serious injury from incorrect
direction of travel.

Motions and directions are as follows (Figure 89):

•

Left tracks are on the controls side.

•

Right tracks are on the drive side.

•

Forward movement is in the direction of the hopper.

•

Reverse movement is in the direction of the dis-
charge conveyor.

To help stay oriented while operating the remote, point
it in the forward direction.

Operating the Track Controls

Important

Before attempting to use the remote transmitter,
become familiar with how it works. See “Remote
Transmitter” on page 17.

Enabling the Tracks

The tracks cannot move until they are enabled at the
control panel.



To enable the drive tracks:

Press the

TRACK

enable button on the control panel.

When the tracks engage, the track light ring turns
green.

Press the

SHIFT

button on the remote transmitter.

See “Remote Transmitter” on page 17.

Press the

TRACK

OFF

button.

The horn alarm begins beeping steadily to indicate
that the tracks can move at any moment. The alarm
continues to sound until the tracks are turned off at
the remote transmitter.

The machine can now be moved using the remote trans-
mitter.
