Mark centreline

(Forend) when you have decided the position of the lockcase.

Put template along edge

and place alongside the front edge on the door, mark the position of
cylinder hole

Mark hole for the forend where centerline

Use a Ø20mm drill bit to get the correct depth for the lockcase. 78mm for 50mm backset. If fitting an
electromechanical lock or microswitched lock add 10mm to the dept. Do not use force to push the
lockcase into the mortice.

Drill the Ø42mm hole for cylinder hole

through the door.

Mortice the forend into the front of the door, this has a depth of 3mm and width 22mm

Put the template for the strike plate acc. drawing. Make sure measure
S
is 2-4 mm. Make the mortise
according to strike plate drawing beside,
26mm depth
. Use a chisel to fit the strike plate into the mortise.
Use a chisel to make the outer profile according to drawing,
4mm depth
. Drill
4x ø3mm holes for the screws for striking plate 1489. Recommended screw: 1489 4x TFX 5,0x40mm

Placement of lock case in door blade
Non-rebated – Use flat strike plate Rebated door – Use an angled strike plat
Anti-Drill plate instruction:
1.
Attach two adhesive pads to the back side of the plate
2.
Attach the plate on the
outward facing side of the lock case
by folding according to the picture
3.
Verify that the plate is firmly attached
