Safety Controller SK 35

General

The dual channel safety controller SK 35 finds application in the monitoring of safety contact mats 

as well as in providing safety of crushing and shearing points by safety contact edges and safety 

bumpers (pressure sensitive sensor (

PSS

)). 

To the SK 35 two individual PSS safety circuits can be connected, each of them affects to an indi-

vidual switching output.
The safety controller SK 35 is intended for the use at plants/machines, where the machinery control 

system provides an appropriate test signal and verifies the result prior to each dangerous movement. 

With this testing, the safety controller meets safety category 2 according to EN 954-1

 „Safety-related 

parts of control systems“.

The quiescent current monitoring of the PSS is possible because of the terminating resistor of the 

PSS. When the right target quiescent current flows, the output relay is activated and the switching 

contacts are closed. When the PSS is activated or the PSS circuit is interrupted, the relay contacts 

open immediately. The  state of the PSS and the applied supply voltage are indicated by LEDs.
Both channels are independent from each other. With this each of them react individual to the testing 

and operating. The reset contacts Z1, Z2 reset both safety channels.
