Set Up
3.1 Mode
The WMC01 can operate in one of two modes - analogue or IP. Both modes provide the same features.
In analogue mode: a standard VIPEDIA-12 audio input provides the necessary power, communications and audio link. In
this mode, a direct CAT5 cable is required between the WMC01 and VIPEDIA-12.
In IP mode, the communications and audio link between the VIPEDIA-12 and WMC01 is over IP, whilst power is supplied
by external/3
rd
party PoE. The unit can either be connected directly to one of VIPEDIA-
12’s Ethernet ports, or through an
existing network.
3.2 Power
Set the power jumpers on the rear side of the WMC01 for to the selected mode (analogue or IP) as shown in Figure 1
below.

1) Disconnect power before changing link settings.
2) PoE and RTR links must NOT be fitted simultaneously
