10. FPGA Upgrade 

 
The 

“

axm57104_FPGA_upgrade

”  program  is  used  for  upgrade  FPGA  code  of  AXM57104  TSN  Ethernet 

Switch  PCIe  Card.  Current  version  supports  update  FPGA  by  local  file  only.  The  mechanism  as  following 
figure:

User can execute the program in console and assign a local FPGA file with MCS format. 
Flash size of AXM57104 is 64 Mbytes (512 Kbits). 
The 

“

axm57104_FPGA_upgrade

” always upgrade lower half part (blue area) of the flash. 

AXM57104 hardware load lower half part of the flash while booting. 
If the lower half part loading failed, the hardware will load upper half part (yellow area). 
The golden FPGA code existed in upper half part for make sure safety FPGA upgrading.

We did not install the 

“axm57104_FPGA_upgrade” program into the system. 

So we should execute it in the related software package folder of BSP working directory. 
Please type below command for help: 

 

# ./axm57104_FPGA_upgrade
