8. NETCONF 

 
This chapter provides how to build-up and install the Netconf framework. The Network Configuration Protocol 
(

NETCONF

)  is  a  network  management  protocol  developed  and  standardized  by  the  IETF.  The  NETCONF 

protocol  defines  a  simple  mechanism  through  which  a  network  device  can  be  managed,  configuration  data 
information  can  be  retrieved, and  new  configuration  data  can  be  uploaded  and  manipulated.  CESNET  build 
the toolset of Netopeer2 contain the client/server communication under Netconf protocol, provide “sysrepod”, 
a  daemon  which  use  to  maintain  the  yang  model  and  configuration.  We  use  it  to  setup  the  whole  Netconf 
framework.
