VOICES AND EFFECTS:
The following pages entail an detailed set of instructions on how to set up voices and effects on your STAGEPERFORMER500
keyboard. There are 559 voices in total (see appendix).
SELECTING A VOICE:
Press the (VOICE) button to enter the voice mode. The default
voice is Voice R1 (001) - this will be displayed on the LCD screen.
Press the (+/YES) and (-/NO) buttons or the (DIAL) to choose
your desired voice from the library.
Alternatively, you can use the 14 voice shortcut buttons. Each
button has 2 presets, press the button once for the preset
displayed at the top on the panel artwork and twice for the
bottom.
DUAL VOICE FUNCTION (PLAYING 2 VOICES AT ONCE):
The STAGEPERFORMER500 has the option of playing 2 voices
simultaneously. You can also get creative and make multiple
combinations.
To set a dual voice press the (DUAL) button whilst a voice is
selected. The “DUAL” and “VOICE R2” signals will appear on the
LCD screen to indicate you are in dual mode. In dual mode, you are
selecting the second voice you wish to play - the first is the voice you
are set on before you press the (DUAL) button. Select the second
voice via the (YES/NO) buttons or (DIAL).
Pressing the (DUAL) button again will take you out of dual mode.
SPLIT POINT:
You can split the keyboard into melody and chord area using this
function.
Press the (SPLIT) button to turn the LOWER VOICE on or off.
The LCD will display “Voice L” and its name. When you play in real
time, you can activate Split Mode simply by pressing this button.
Select the voice you desire via the (YES/NO) buttons or (DIAL)
- the default LOWER VOICE is voice 265 (see appendix). Different
voices can be used in the chord area and melody area.
