Requirements of concrete foundation
For placing the AZ800 telescope you need a flat, uncracked concrete foundation with a diameter of 700mm or
larger. If you want to, you can also use a hollow concrete pillar. In this case the centre hole must be smaller than
300mm in diameter.
In the red marked area there will be the holes for the thread rods, used for fixing the telescope on the pillar.
Keep this area free of reinforcement rods, so that the holes can be drilled without interference.
