Remove the cover plate from the uplink port. Store it in a secure location for possible reuse in case the uplink
module is removed from the switch in the future.

Insert an optional uplink module, such as the Aruba 3810M/2930M 1 Port QSFP+ 40GbE Module shown here.

Insert a transceiver in the uplink module.
