7.6.2.16.1 MaxCore Configuration service is not running
1. Check the status of the MCCS.
systemctl status pciemgmt.service
2. If MCCS is not active, check the status of the RabbitMQ.
systemctl status rabbitmq-server.service
3. If the RabbitMq is active, restart MCCS.
systemctl start pciemgmt.service
7.6.2.16.2 RabbitMQ is not running
1. Check the status of the RabbitMQ.
systemctl status rabbitmq-server.service
2. If it is not active, go to /var/lib/rabbitmq and delete all files.
rm .erlang.cookie; rm –rf mnesia
3. Start the RabbitMQ again.
Systemctl start rabbitmq-server.service
7.6.3 MCCS Config File at BMC
mCPU host can be in any of the following locations.
SLOT1 – CPU1, CPU2 or SLOT15 – CPU1, CPU2
When mCPU moves from one location to another, mccs-configuration cannot be moved
because each CPU would have its own storage. To handle this situation, mccs configuration file
(
mccs_config.xml
) is stored at BMC site too. When MCCS starts, it reads the config file
located at /opt/bladeservices/etc/mccs/default and also reads the config file located at the BMC.
It also compares the files and selects the one with the highest version.
To decide which configuration file to choose, the top element <mccs_config> has two
attributes:
version and name . So, it looks like <version name=”default” version=”1”>. MCCS
compares the version attributes and loads the configuration with the higher number. If both
versions are equal then the configuration at the BMC is taken.
