2.3.5 SECURE - The tail lock plate
• Pull the tail lock plate downward
seating it behind the second capture
horn.
• Once the tail lock plate is oriented as
pictured, the system is secured and
will not inadvertently release.
• Manual pressure to keep the Key-
Lock plates joined is no longer needed.
• For instruction on how to properly
attach the ARV-QC to your hoist or
short haul line please refer to section
2.5.
2.3.4 HOOK - The tail lock plate
• Hook the open eye of the tail
lock plate over the first upward
facing capture horn on the two
joined Key-Lock plates.
• Maintaining slight downward
pressure, pivot the bottom of
the tail lock plate towards the
victim.
• Lift the tail lock plate into the
bottom groove of the joined
Key-Lock plates.
• This will allow enough
clearance to maneuver the
tail lock plate over the second
upward facing capture horn
on the joined Key-Lock plates.
