2.5.3 Communication types and scenarios
2.5.3.1 TOP-DIS-IP2 supports two telecommunication protocols SIP (RFC 3261) and
protocol “Armtel-IP”. The Desktop call station operation via SIP protocol can be carried out
over SIP server. Calls via SIP protocols are made in both simplex and duplex modes, receiving
of the calls - in half-duplex mode, and when using TOP-HS-IP2 Handset unit - in full duplex
mode.
2.5.3.2 Simplex communication is the establishment of connection between
subscribers in which only one subscriber can operate at any time in the transmission mode.
The call is made by pressing the FK “Direct call of the subscriber”. The function operates over
SIP and “Armtel-IP” protocols. In addition, in the simplex connection, one-way conversation
control mode is used, which allows to control the direction of voice information transmission
between two subscribers. Features of this function:
− a subscriber-initiator of simplex connection - FK “Direct call of the subscriber”
should be configured with the option of fixing;
− a subscriber receiving the incoming call by pressing and holding the call key of
a subscriber-initiator, can transmit the voice information to the subscriber-
initiator direction. After releasing the key, the initial direction of transmission
of the voice information from the originating subscriber is restored;
− the function works over “Armtel-IP” protocol;
− the same priority should be set on the call keys of the subscribers.
In the simplex mode, two communication scenarios are implemented, such as
“Circular” and “Selector”.
“Circular” is a two-way communication between subscribers, at which at any time only
one participant of the circular can transmit voice information. The organizer of the circular
collects the participants. Features of the circular are:
− all participants of the circular hear only the organizer of the circular;
− the organizer of the circular may give and take back the right of reply of
the participants of the circular;
− the answer of the participant of the circular is heard only to the organizer of
the circular;
− each participant of the circular can leave the circular himself;
− the circular operation exists in the general field of call priorities.
