Emergency shut-off
The operator can shut off the electrical
power at any time by pressing the red
mushroom-shaped emergency button under
the lift.
The button is reset by twisting it clockwise
in the direction of the arrows.
First time users should practice the shutoff
manoeuvre before operating the lift with a
patient.
Automatic emergency brake
Risk of falling
The emergency brake is an additional safety feature that automatically prevents the patient from
falling in the unlikely event of a transmission or motor failure.
The emergency brake can only be used once. If it has been activated, call your Arjo agent to
arrange for the unit to be replaced. The emergency lowering system cannot be used while the
emergency brake is engaged. Use an alternative device to lower the patient.
