The following screen shots show the inclination 
of  the  root  plate  and  the  deformation  (strain, 
compression)  of  the  marginal  fibres  of  three 
poplar trees standing in a row.  
The  colour  of  the  data-line  correlates  with  the 
colour of the arrow pointing to each of the trees.
