INITIALIZE/CALIBRATE

PROPERLY.

FAILURE

QUICKLY

SET

THE

QUADCOPTER

DOWN

CAN

PREVENT

THE

SYSTEM

FROM

INITIALIZING/CALIBRATING

PROPERLY

RESULTING

UNSTABLE

(OSCILLATING)

FLIGHT

PERFORMANCE.

Alternatively

you

can

connect

the

battery

the

control

unit

while

the

quadcopter

set

stable,

flat

and

level

surface.

you

not

set

the

quadcopter

down

quickly

after

the

battery

connected

you

must

disconnect

from

the

control

unit

and

repeat

the

initialization/calibration

process.



When

the

LED

indicator

glows

solid

red

the

control

unit

initialized

and

ready

for

flight.

Use

caution

all

four

propellers/rotor

blades

will

now

spin

with

left

‐

hand/throttle

stick

input!

the

LED

indicator

does

not

glow

solid

red

LED

indicator

blinking

slowly

and

the

LED

light

system

powered

you

not

have

positive

radio

frequency

(RF)

link

between

the

transmitter

and

receiver

the

control

unit.

First,

check

sure

the

transmitter

powered

and

the

LED

indicator

the

transmitter

solid

red.

the

transmitter

powered

and

functioning

properly,

disconnect

the

flight

battery

from

the

control

unit.

Power

the

transmitter

off

then

again,

and

within

seconds

connect

the

flight

battery

the

control

unit.

The

control

unit

should

now

initialize

properly.

•

red

LED

indicator

blinking

slowly

and

the

LED

light

system

powered

off

you

have

positive

link

between

the

transmitter

and

receiver

the

control

unit

but

the

ESCs/motors

did

not

‘arm’

because

the

left

‐

hand/throttle

stick

may

not

set

the

correct

position.

Check

sure

the

left

‐

hand/throttle

stick

the

lowest

possible

position,

and

once

the

correct

position

the

red

LED

indicator

will

glow

solid

indicating

the

ESCs/motors

are

now

armed.

After

confirming

the

control

unit

initialized

and

the

ESCs/motors

have

armed

properly

your

Ethos

130

ready

fly.

However,

please

review

the

following

sections

the

manual

BEFORE

proceeding

with

the

first

flight.
