For safety reasons follow the following suggestions:
1. Do not use the battery charger if the cable is damaged
2. Do not use extension cable for the power pack to avoid flame or black out
In case you need to replace the battery contact your dealer. Follow the correct replacement process.
Do not through out in the environment after use.
Do not use the inserting container for municipal waste. We recommend to dispose the battery in
the appropriate disposal areas for recycling.
11. Maintenance
The ARDEA devices by MORETTI are checked carefully and supplied with EC mark, once launched
on the market. For patient and physician’s safety we recommend to let check the device by the
manufacturer or by laboratory authorized every year. In case of repair, use only original spare
parts and accessories.
11.1 - Annual maintenance
We recommend to make a regular maintenance service, in order to prevent malfunction and future
complications.
The annual maintenance service includes:
• Wheels and pneumatic check
• Battery, cables and connections check
• Controller check, following the user needs
• Frame, screws and bolts check
• Cover and upholstery check
11.2 - The ordinary maintenance includes
• Clean the controller and the joystick
• Clean the frame and the upholstery to avoid grime
• Clean the wheels
• Grease the wheels axles and the springs every 3 months, if necessary
• Check the wheels. The tread wear and tear should not be more than 1,5mm
• Recharge regularly the battery
• Check the correct functioning of the joystick, in particular ensure it comes back
to the central position when released. For any doubts contact your dealer
• Check the cables covers for any damage or tear and wear. For any doubt contact you dealer
12. Cleaning and disinfection
• DO NOT immerse in water the wheelchair
• Use only a damp cloth. Pay attention to the controller
NOTE
- For a better disinfection use a small amount of mild soap then rinse carefully. Avoid any liquids
soak in the device
• Never use acids, alkalis or solvents such as acetone
13. Conditions of disposal
13.1 - General conditions of disposal
In case of disposal don’t use the inserting container for municipal waste. We recommend to
dispose the electric wheelchair in the appropriate disposal areas for recycling.
