Checking the motor’s carbon brushes
1. Remove the High Voltage
Disconnect.
2. Open the right side panel.
3. Remove the plastic cover
from the motor by removing
three 3 mm hex screws.
4. Make sure that carbon
brushes move freely by gently
pulling.
Checking the motor’s carbon brush holder alignment (2X2 models)
1. Remove the High Voltage Disconnect
2. Open the right side panel
3. Remove the cover plate between the motors
4. Check visually if the alignments are identical. Normal
position is in the middle position. Unbalanced alignment may
damage the motor.
5. The holder can be aligned by loosening 4 M4 screws and
rotating the holder.
Drying the carbon brushes
The motor’s carbon brushes may absorb moisture while left in storage. The
moisture softens the brushes and shortens the lifespan. Therefore the brushes
should be dried prior heavy use.
1. Lift the track from the ground and ensure that it will not touch anything while
turning.
2. Ensure that handbrake is off and start the driving mode by turning the key to
position ”CRANK”
3. Run the motor gently for few minutes
4. Turn of the snowmobile and descend the track from the stand
5. Start the driving mode and drive for 5 minutes while keeping the current low.
