14. Remove the upper differential mounting cap screw.
Account for a lock nut and two washers.

15. Free the differential assembly from the frame mount-
ings; then lower the differential through the frame.
Disassembling Input Shaft
NOTE: This procedure can be performed on a
rear gear case.
1. Using a T-40 torx wrench, remove the cap screws
securing the pinion housing.

2. Using a rubber mallet, remove the housing. Account
for a gasket. Remove the fork, collar, and spring.
Note the location of all the components for assem-
bling purposes.

3. Remove the snap rings from the input shaft; then
remove the input shaft from the pinion housing.

4. Using a seal removal tool, remove the input shaft
seal. Account for a spacer.
