4.6 Security
The Security menu sets up the administrator password. Once an administrator
password is set up, this BIOS Setup utility is limited to access and will ask for
the password each time any access is attempted.
Password Description
If ONLY the Administrator’s password is set,
then this only limits access to Setup and is
only asked for when entering Setup.
If ONLY the User’s password is set, then this
is a power on password and must be entered to
boot or enter Setup. In Setup the User will
have Administrator rights.
The password must be
in the following range:
Minimum length 3
Maximum length 20

To set up an administrator password:
1. Select
Administrator Password .
2. A Create New Password dialog then pops up
onscreen.
3. Enter your desired password that is no less than 3
characters and no more than 20 characters.
4. Hit
[Enter]
key to submit.
