Special Functions and Features
NOTE
It is important to note that regardless of which phase
convention is selected (refer to section 2.2.1.2 of the Operation
Manual), the only offsets that can be entered are 30, 60, and 90
degrees lag.
If an offset value is entered and then an operating mode other than
phase is selected, pressing "SHIFT" then "
∆
PHASE" will provide a
momentary display of the entered offset, but will not change the
offset value.
Clearing an Offset Value
1.
To clear a selected offset and return to normal operation, first set
the unit to the phase mode (if it is not already set to the phase
mode) by pressing "PHASE".
2.
Once the unit is in the phase mode, pressing "PHASE" again will
clear the offset value, and return the instrument to normal phase
mode operation.
3.4 Watt-Hour Measurement
The Model 918B has a provision for measurement of watt-hours.
Watt-hour recording begins as soon as the instrument is turned on.
Procedure
1.
To review watt-hours as they are accumulated, press the "W"
button twice.
2.
After the first press of the "W" button, the unit will display
power.
3.
When the button is pressed again, the unit will display watt-
hours.
4.
If both voltage and current are present when in the watt-hour
display mode, the display will increment upward or downward,
depending on the direction of power transfer.
