Firmware Updates

Firmware updates are posted on our website:

www.arbiter.com

under the specific product and are available as a

free download.

6.1

Requirements

To update firmware, you will need a computer running a terminal program that supports Xmodem transfers, a
USB 2.0 A male to micro 5 pin male cable, and the firmware upgrade file (m120-fw_vXXXX.bin).

6.2

Procedure

•

Connect the USB cable to the Model 120A config port and a USB port on your computer.

•

Open a terminal program and log into the Model 120 using Admin_Config privileges

•

Verify the firmware version installed by sending the “firmware” command.

•

Send the command “firmware update”, wait for the prompt “Start binary file transfer (Xmodem send)…”

•

Select and send the firmware file using the Xmodem transfer of the terminal program

•

When the firmware has been updated you will get a “Success!” notification, press enter to get the login

screen.

The sequence will look like this:

Verifying

To verify the firmware has been updated, log into the

Model 120A and send the “firmware” command
