FARRINGDON ASH PAN
The Farringdon stove is supplied with a unique ash
pan. To empty or remove the pan, first open the
fire door. With the supplied gloves, pull the handle
fixed to the back edge of the ash pan towards you
whilst slightly tilting the furthest side of the pan up-
wards to retain the ash content. When the ash pan
has been mostly withdrawn from the ash pit cham-
ber grab the pivoting handle to stabilise the pan
whilst emptying.
Empty the ash into a suitable container and rein-
sert the ash pan into the ash pit chamber and
close the fire door.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
RIDDLING THE STOVE
The operating tool, is dual-purpose tool enabling
you to open the fire door and riddle the grate within
the appliance.( See fig. 16 )
The Farringdon internal grate bars can be riddled
(de-ashed) by using the tool (Fig. 16.) either on the
left hand or right hand sides of the stove as shown
in Fig. 17.
