6. MAINTENANCE
6.1.
Water maintenance
1) Clean your filter at least once after continuous operation for 72 to 120 hours. The cartridge should be
replaced at least once a month depending on usage.
2) Change the water after a few days, or use spa chemicals. All spas require the use of chemicals. Please
consult your dealer for further information regarding chemical water treatment. Please follow the
instructions of the chemical manufacturers carefully. Damage to the spa caused by improper use of
chemicals or improper management of spa water is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
We recommend keeping the pH of your water between 7.2 and 7.5, alkalinity between 80 and 120 ppm,
and free chlorine between 3 and 5 ppm.
Purchase a test kit to check the chemistry of your water before each use of the spa, and at least once a
week. Too low a pH will damage the spa and the pump. Damage resulting from chemical imbalance is
not covered by warranty.
The spa owner is responsible for sanitizing the water, which is done through the regular and periodic
(daily if necessary) addition of a sanitizer that meets standards. The sanitizer will provide chemical
control of bacteria and viruses present in the fill water or introduced during spa use.
