• The MAX LEV setting allows the maximum brightness of
each channel to be set as a percentage.
• The MIN LEV settings for each channel is the level that
the channel dims down to during the OFF phase.
Please note:
the minimum level cannot exceed the
maximum level. At ‘OFF TIME’ the units must dim and at
‘ON TIME’ the units must brighten.
Moon function
Useful Tip:
Some coral spawnings are timed with the phases
of the moon.
This function can be toggled on or off in the miscellaneous
settings. It mimics the phases of the moon by varying the
minimum light levels of channel 4 throughout a 30 day cycle.
Cloud function
Useful Tip:
Using cloud function will offer a more realistic
lighting scene for your aquarium, and could help prevent coral
bleaching through photoinhibition.
This function can be toggled on or off in the miscellaneous
settings and simulates clouds passing over the tank by dimming
the channels down and then brightening them in sequence.
Clouds pass over at random (20 per hour) and only dim by a
maximum of 20%.
Storm Function
Useful Tip:
Using the storm function whilst carrying out a
water change has been known to trigger breeding
behaviour in certain species of fish.
The storm function can be started by a button press (see
“Operation” above), or can be toggled on or off to create
1 storm per day at a random time.
When storm function is entered the following sequence occurs:-
1. The controlled AquaRay light units will dim down to 5%
across a 5 minute period.
