2.0 INTRODUCTION
HC899 are constant flow rate dosing pumps.
They are equipped with an ON / OFF switch and a
connector for level probe, placed in the bottom of the case.
The flow rate can be adjusted from 0 to
100% with a trimmer placed in the front panel of the pump. It is possibile to reduce the range of
trimmer from 0 to 20% following the procedure described in Programming paragraf. The front panel
is also equipped with a red flashing led, that can indicate:
Flashing led with trimmer at every position exept 0%: each flashing correponds to a
single injection of the pump
Flashing led with trimmer at 0%: a fast flashing indicates that the range of trimmer is
from 0 to 100% a slow flashing indicates that the range of trimmer is from 0 to 20%
Fixed led: low level alarm is activated. Please note that alarm has 5 seconds of waiting
before activating or disactivating
Fast Flashing led with trimmer at every position exept 0%: a fast flashing without pump
impulses indicates a protection condition dued to over-heating of magnet, the pump
comes back automatically to normal function when the temperature decreses
2.1 Programming
HC899 programming is based on setting of number of pulses per minutes. The number of pulses per
minutes will change the flow rate of the pump. It is possibile to modify the number of pulses per
minutes using 2 range: Complete 0-100%, Reduced 0-20%.
To change the range of trimmer proceed as follow:
Put the trimmer at minimum 0%
Flashing frequency indicates the actual dosing range: fast flashing = 0-100%, slow
flashing 0-20%
Turn the trimmer clockwise ann reach the maximum of range then within 2 second turn
back the trimmer to minimum 0%
Flashing frequency has changed to indicate the new dosing range, if necessary repeat
procedure.
3.0 TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
3.1 General rules
Install the pump:
On an horizontal reinforcement (ex: stoking tank) or on the pump shelf
(optional) so that the pump head stays always in vertical po/-15°.
Far from an hot source in dry places at maximum temperature of 45°C and
minimum 0°C.
In a ventilated place and easily accessible by an operator for periodical
maintenance.
At a suitable height above the chemical up to a maximum height of 1.5 meters.
If for exigency of the plant it’s necessary to install the pump under the level of
the chemical, you need to use an injection valve or an anti siphon valve.
Do not install the pump over the tank in presence of liquids that emanate fumes
unless it is hermetically closed.
