INSTALLATION:
LOCATION:
The pumpset should be erected in a place relatively free
from dust , fumes , and moisture.
SUCTION PIPE:
1. The vertical distance between the water level at
the suction side and the pumpset should not
exceed 26 feet (8 meters).
2. Only recommended pipe size should be used. Small
pipe size, nipples, elbows, bends all give rise to
pressure losses and should either be eliminated or
used sparingly. If flexible hoses are used, note that it
should be non collapsible.
3. A larger diameter suction pipe may be used in case
the suction distance is more.
4. Ensure minimum number of bends and airtight
joints.
PRIMING:
1. A good quality foot valve should be used to avoid priming
problems, since the pumpset is not self priming.
2. It is necessary to fill water through priming plug provided at
top of suction bracket during installation and tighten the
priming plug properly.
3. Do not start the pumpset until it has been filled with clear
cold water.
