Problem: Quartz sand is flushed out of the filter into the pool
Possible cause Solution
Wrong grain size.  Grain size has to amount
to 0.4 - 0.8 mm.
Filter strainer in the filter casing
damaged.
 Replace.
Problem: Too much quartz sand is flushed out of the filter into the
sewer during backwash.
Possible cause Solution
Too much sand in the filter.  Reduce quantity, volume
flow.
 Filling level turns on
automatically during
backwash (catch lost
sand).
Problem: Pump does not start by itself
Possible cause Solution
Power line not connected to
mains
 Turn power on.
Fuses defective  Replace.
Motor defective  Have winding and
condensator (alternating
current) checked by
qualified professional.
Pump is blocked  Turn the motor shaft using
a screwdriver in the slot at
the end of the shaft.
External overload switch has
tripped
 Re-set.
