FIRST STAGE DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURE
1.
Push the button on the CPC connector (9) to disconnect the
QD hose (36). Pull the hose away from the CPC connector
and set the OPC aside.

Remove the safety plug
(10) from the first stage body
(8) using a 3/8” socket and
flex wrench.
4.
Remove the CPC connector using a 5/8” crowfoot and flex
wrench. Remove any residual Teflon tape remaining on the
CPC connector or inside the body (8).

Placement
CAUTION:
Use only plastic or brass o-ring removal
tools when removing o-rings to prevent damaging
critical sealing surfaces. Even a small scratch across
an o-ring sealing surface could result in leakage. Once
an o-ring sealing surface has been damaged, the part
must be replaced with new. DO NOT use a dental pick
or any other steel instrument, except where instructed.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to damage the fill port with
the wrench while removing the dial indicator
CAUTION:
The release button on the CPC connector
can be damaged if the wrench placement is not correct.
NOTE: Before performing any disassembly, refer to the
exploded parts drawing, which references all mandatory
replacement parts. These parts should be replaced with
new service kit parts. Old parts should not be reused under
any circumstances, regardless of the regulator age or how
much use it has received since it was last serviced.
2.
Install the MP gauge into the CPC connector (9). Turn the
unit ON and
SLOWLY
depressurize the cylinder using the
bleed valve on the MP gauge. Close the handwheel once
the cylinder is empty.

3.
Remove the dial indicator (30) from the body (8) using a
7/8” crowfoot and flex wrench. Remove o-ring (28) from the
dial indicator.
