7.3.1 PEDESTRIAN STROKE LEARNING
NOTE: When self-learning is started, the gate must
be in the closed position and self-learning of the
opening stroke must be complete (Par.7.3).
• With the
S1
selector set to automatic mode, press key
START
on the remote control (or use the step-by-step
START command). The gate starts to open; when
the gate reaches the required position for pedestrian
opening, press the
YELLOW key
.
The gate stops. Pedestrian stroke learning is now
complete.
7.4 ADJUSTING THE MAXIMUM TORQUE THRESHOLD
The
TR2
Trimmer is used to adjust the operating
sensitivity of the motor force limit. Adjust this trimmer so
that the motor can provide the force required for normal
gate moving and so that the system is sufficiently
sensitive to detect any obstacles
(triggering of the
torque limit is described
in the Table here to the
side
)
.
N.B.: Adjustment of Trimmer TR2 permits safe
operation of the torque threshold as long as the
gate slides on good wheels and sliding guide.
If not, adjust the limit upwards (turn TR2 in a
clockwise direction).
Warning
!
If the TR2 Trimmer is
positioned at the maximum value (turned fully
clockwise), the torque threshold is not operative
and the motor provides the maximum power - in this
case the blinck-light LED and the safety fl ashing
light get ON steady (without blincking).
In this situation, you MUST use extra detection
units. First carry out thorough risk analysis.
7.5 CHECKING THE OPERATION OF THE LIMIT
SWITCHES
The actuator has an electromechanical limit switch with
a spring rod. The limit switch is tripped by two metal
plates that must be fi tted on the rack in such a way as
to engage the limit switch rod when the gate is near the
fully open and fully closed positions.
CAUTION!
To avoid crushing risk, do not use the
mechanical gate stops as the gate stroke limits!
Always leave the safety margin required by current
Safety Regulations between the limit switch plates
and the mechanical gate fully open and gate fully
closed stops
(Fig.29, ref.A)
.
After installing the limit switch plates as described
in the self-learning procedure, check that they work
properly:
• Use the remote controls or key selector to give an step-
by-step START command: the gate opens.
During opening, hand work the limit stop lever in the
opening direction. The gate must
stop
. If the gate does
not stop move the limit stop lever in an anti clockwise
direction, at this point the gate will stop.
