Coolant solution is 50% water and 50%
antifreeze fluid. This is the ideal mixture
for most operating temperatures and pro-
vides good corrosion protection. It is ad-
visable to use the same mixture even in
hot weather as this minimises loss due to
evaporation and the need of frequent top-
ups. Thus, mineral salt deposits formed
in the radiator by evaporated water are
also minimised and the efficiency of the
cooling system is not affected. When the
temperature drops below zero degrees
centigrade, check the cooling system fre-
quently and add more antifreeze (up to
60% max.) if required. De oplossing van de koelvloeistof be-
staat uit 50% water en 50% antivries. Dit
mengsel is ideaal voor de meeste wer-
kingstemperaturen, en garandeert een
goede bescherming tegen corrosie. Het
is een goede gewoonte om hetzelfde
mengsel ook tijdens het warme seizoen
te gebruiken, omdat op deze manier ver-
lies door verdamping en het frequent bij-
vullen wordt vermeden. Op deze manier
verminderen de bezinksels van mineraal-
zouten die in de radiator van het ver-
dampte water werden gelaten, en veran-
dert de efficiëntie van de koelinstallatie
niet. Wanneer de buitentemperatuur zich
onder het vriespunt bevindt, moet men
het koelcircuit frequent controleren, en
voegt men indien nodig een hogere con-
centratie antivries toe (tot een maximum
van 60%).

Voor de koeloplossing gebruikt men ge-
destilleerd water, om de motor niet te
beschadigen.
