SENSOR INSTALLED

Read through the section PRECAUTIONS AND
GENERAL INFORMATION.
Remove the battery as described in the paragraph
REMOVING THE BATTERY.
Remove the side fairings as directed in the paragraph
REMOVING THE SIDE FAIRINGS so as to gain

Reinstall the battery to allow the measurements to be
taken.
Perform the checks with a multimeter.
Ensure that the battery is charged and that the sensor
is properly connected to the controller.
Connect a voltage meter between the white and black
wires of the sensor.
Set the main switch to ON.
Measure the voltage between the red and black wires.
The voltage should be 12 ± 2 V (if the voltage is
different, check the wiring or replace the controller).
Turn the pedals at an average frequency of 30 rpm
and measure the voltage between the white and black
wires. The voltage should be 2.5 ± 0.5 V dc.
When the pedals are turned slowly at a frequency of
approximately 10 rpm, the voltage should change
continuously from 0 V to 5 V.
