CHECKING THE BRAKE SWITCHES
Read through the section PRECAUTIONS AND
GENERAL INFORMATION.
Put the vehicle on the stand.
Remove the battery as described in the paragraph
REMOVING THE BATTERY.
Remove the side fairings as directed in the paragraph
REMOVING THE SIDE FAIRINGS.
Detach two-way electrical connector (2) (white).
Using a multimeter, perform the following checks:
- Check continuity between the two wires with the
brake lever in home position.
- Check the presence of an open circuit between the
two wires while the brake lever is being pulled.
- Check that, when released, the brake levers return
to their home positions without problems.
REMOVING THE POWER SWITCH
Read through the section PRECAUTIONS AND
GENERAL INFORMATION.
Put the vehicle on the stand.
Remove the battery as described in the paragraph
REMOVING THE BATTERY.
Remove the side fairings as directed in the paragraph
REMOVING THE SIDE FAIRINGS.
Detach two-way electrical connector (1) (red).
Disengage the cable from clamp (2).
Remove the two screws (3) and remove power switch
(4).
CHECKING THE POWER SWITCH
Detach electrical connector (1) and, using a
multimeter, measure the resistance between the two
connecting wires.
OFF and LOCK positions: resistance = infinite
ON position: resistance = 0 Ohm
